About Us

Through the collaboration of Dr. Kurt Michael at App State with Dr. Eric Youngstrom, App State began building its own HGAPS chapter in Fall 2018. Most of our work focuses on disseminating suicide prevention research and working with content from 13 Reasons Why, a show that has exposed much of the general public to topics of suicide and mental heath, to be used productively in research and clinical settings by providing resources on Wikipedia.
Congratulations to Arina for being selected as a finalist for the first annual American Psychological Association Convention’s Psychological Science in 3 (PS-3) competition!
